Woke up early, around 7 o’clock, since we’re performing the new Tavriya experiment on obtaining ultra-pure biological materials by electrophoresis. I decided to prepare and check everything beforehand. Mission Control was surprised that we carried out this complex new experiment so easily and without a hitch.

In the afternoon, Volodya Lyakhov came on the line and congratulated us. Today we passed his milestone of 175 days; ahead of us now are only the marks of Popov and Ryumin, who flew for 185 days.

My back of the head aches. I’m sitting at the central control post, pressing the back of my head against the instrument panel frame and my feet against the table, to get some relief. Tomorrow will be an interesting day, with demanding experiments using the SKR X-ray spectrometer and Delta.
