Baikonur
Baikonur Cosmodrome is the world’s first and largest space launch facility, located in the steppes of Kazakhstan. It was from here that Soyuz T-5 launched on May 13, 1982, carrying the crew of Lebedev and Berezovoy. Before the flight, the crew spent two weeks at Baikonur undergoing final preparation procedures and medical examinations.
